Chief Executive Officer
Graduated in Law in Trento, he was a Member of the Republic for two legislatures, Minister for Relations with Parliament and Undersecretary of State at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
President
Botanist, world-renowned scientist, professor at the University of Florence, directs the International Laboratory of Plant Neurobiology (LINV). A founding member of the International Society for Plant Signaling & Behavior, he has taught at Japanese, Swedish and French universities and is a full academic of the Georgofili Academy.
In 2012 «la Repubblica» listed him among the 20 Italians destined to change our lives and in 2013 the «New Yorker» included him in the ranking of “world changers”.
Graduated in civil engineering, specializing in structures in Trento in 2005, since which year he has been in the wooden construction sector both with technical-managerial roles in companies in the sector and as a freelancer. He was technical manager at Rothoblaas from 2005 to 2015 and from 2015 and at the company XLAM Dolomiti of the Paterno Group for which he currently holds the role of President and CEO. In his 19 years of profession he has carried out teaching and research activities for 7 consecutive years at the University of Trento, he is a member of the Arca technical committee and an Arca teacher since the origins of the certification system, he is the inventor of some patents and co- author of numerous scientific publications and was for many years an Appointed Councilor at Assolegno for the group of producers and builders of large wooden structures. Furthermore, to date he is also a member of the Board of Directors of Habitech, a councilor at the Order of Engineers of the Autonomous Province of Trento and a member of the Board of Directors of Carbon Planet.
He has been a Senior Partner of HitecVision since February 2022. HitecVision is one of the main European private equity funds specialized in Energy and holds the role of key men relating to issues such as decarbonisation and energy transition.
In previous years he was a Partner at McKinsey & Co in the Energy practice for over 6 years. He worked as an executive in Eni and Petrofac.
He holds an MBA from IE business school, a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London and a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan.
Since 2015 he has been an economic and financial advisor for numerous companies and public institutions and worked as a Global Macro Analyst at FEF Academy. He was economic advisor at the Ministry for Relations with Parliament in 2019 and then economic advisor to the Undersecretary of State at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers from 2019 to 2021. Since 2021 he has been Senior Advisor of the Maticmind Spa Group, acquired in 2022 by CVC Partners Fund and CDP Equity. In 2015 he co-founded FEF Academy, which operates in the field of financial education; between 2021 and 2023 he co-founded FDB Consulting, active in consultancy for renewable energy projects; New Credit Lab, credit brokerage company; and Carbon Planet, which launched the first platform in Italy for the exchange of CO2 removal certificates.
